My interest in photography started with the iPhone. I became so obsessed with iPhone-photography that I even took an online class about it. The course taught me a lot of general photography principles like composition, framing, and lighting. When I finally got up the confidence to try a “real camera,” I was immediately hooked! I now shoot with a Sony a7rIII with a wide variety of lenses. I can honestly say that I am the most at peace when I’m capturing small moments of time with my camera.
Painting started out as a form of therapy for me. It allowed me to relax and to focus on something soothing instead of thinking about everything I was going through. Even though I’m still recovering, painting has become more to me than mindless therapy. I enjoy the experience of trying new techniques and painting on different surfaces like vases and teapots. I see white objects in a whole new way now!
