February 16: Meredith Walt has been a family therapist for the better part of the decade, and the bulk of her experience has come from community based work.  Meredith worked with families in intense crisis, with little resources available to them, and zero tolerance for “textbook talk”.  Recently, she narrowed her focus by creating a company, Bag of Tricks Parenting that is geared towards parents that are primarily stable, yet struggle with a handful of common frustrations that appear to be universal.  Generally, when parents reach out for help, they are sold on theories (be consistent, follow through, set boundaries), which they do not know how to implement in the moment.  Meredith’s approach is twofold; there is a fundamental re-education as to why situations have become so out of hand, and solution focused specifics, which can be applied to a variety of situations.  Meredith’s bottom line:  Parents cannot allow their child’s behavior to change their course of action.  There needs to be a clear “power line” with an expectation of how their family is run.  Moving from reactive parenting to proactive parenting is crucial, and Meredith teaches step by step, situation by situation how to accomplish that bottom line.

February 9: Tina Erwin spent 20 years in the Navy, working for the US Submarine Force.  Jobs included being the first Female instructor in the history of Submarine School, and becoming the first anti-terrorism expert assigned the task of protecting 86 Submarines from terrorist attack.  Tina retired at the Commander level.   In addition, to understand the physics of metaphysics, all her life Tina studied Metaphysicsn on her own.   After the death of her 6 year old niece in 2003, Tina wrote The Lightworker’s Guide to Healing Grief to teach people how to help themselves and each other to heal from deep sadness.   Married to the love of her life for almost 37 years, Troy Erwin, CDR, USN Retired, and have three children, James and his wife Amee, Andrew and his wife Monica and Jeanne Marie and her boyfriend Michael.  Join us as Tina discusses the subject of “Seeking the Greater Good Creates a Successful Life.”

February 2: Christy Hill-Howard is an avid dog lover, dog rescuer and owner of Three Dog Bakery in Southlake, TX. January 19: Catey Hill is the money editor for the New York Daily News online and author of Shoo, Jimmy Choo! The Modern Girl’s Guide to Spending Less & Saving more. Previously, Catey was the marketing manager at Plum TV and the author of The Plum Wealth Report, a specialized blog focusing on the purchasing behaviors of affluent consumers. She first realized her need to kick her shoe habit and get her finances in order when working as the financial marketing manager for Forbes magazine.

January 12: Janet Powers - In January of 2008 Janet took her wealth of business experience and struck out on her own, founding Expressive Web Solutions. December 29: Tommy Strader  - After high school, Tommy went on to serve 4 years in the USAF on a SOS (Special Opperations Squadron) where we rescued pilots who were shot down over Bosnia. After the Air Force, Tommy had various jobs as a race car mechanic and in marketing. While doing marketing over the last 10 years, Tommy taught himself graphic arts, eventually finding his way into the vehicle wrapsindustry where he found his true passion. Tommy loves cars, graphics, and helping people grow their businesses and this allows him to do all three at the same time.
