Real Talk with Beckie and Angie

I’m thrilled to announce the debut of Real Talk with Beckie and Angie, a YouTube channel and podcast collaboration I’m doing with my very good friend of 40+ years, Beckie Kullberg.

We’re two friends sharing our real, raw, and meaningful conversations and discussing the topics that matter. On our weekly show, we’ll share tips on how to make it through life’s curveballs and chat about celebrating victories.

You will enjoy Real Talk with Beckie and Angie if you’re looking for an honest dialogue that touches every aspect of life and personal growth.

Upcoming Real Talk Topics

Our upcoming real talk topics start with 5 Ways To Be A Better Friend – In our first episode, I apologize to Beckie for something I did to her 40 years ago.  Although I am pretty sure I apologized to Beckie back then, deep down I knew Beckie needed this moment to share the story, and a sincere apology was appropriate. After all,  what I did was wrong. You don’t want to miss this episode!

“A friend is someone who understands your past, believes in your future, and accepts you just the way you are.”

Our second real talk show is about vulnerability. It’s a raw and revealing discussion questioning if sharing your vulnerabilities is a strength or a weakness. Before episode two drops, I’m curious about your thoughts on the subject. Drop a line in the comments about what being vulnerable means to you, and then listen or watch our show on February 2nd, 2023, to see if we’re on the same track. I’m so curious about your perspective!

So Good We Made Two

Our conversation in our second show was so good that we split it into two parts. So, episode three is a continuation of that conversation.

Lastly, our most recent recording is a tough one for me. What started as a simple off-video recap of our experiences with the filming process all of a sudden takes a hard left turn when I step full-on, head-first into vulnerability. This one begins with an abrupt mid-sentence raw moment for me. I still need to edit this episode, so wish me luck and love as I relive a highly emotional conversation with Beckie. Ugh!

Whether you prefer podcast or video content, we have both for you. Please know that your likes and comments help support us as we take on something new, exciting, and a little scary, and remember real friendships are strengthened with real talk.

Before you go!

One more thing, you know that saying, “live like there’s no tomorrow”? Some time back, I wrote my thoughts on this, and after rereading it just now, I thought I’d share it with you here, Live Like There’s No Tomorrow – It’s Bigger Than Just You.

Am I Having a Breakdown?

Is this what a breakdown feels like? This is what I kept asking myself towards the end of 2023. I’m well aware that life has this crazy way of throwing a flurry of challenges our way, but let me tell you, nothing could’ve prepared me for the gut-wrenching events that happened in my life the last few months of 2023.

Prioritizing Mental Health Over Perfectionism

At one point in time, I felt like everything had to be perfect in the house before I could go to bed. This included cleaning the counters, taking the burners off the stove, and making sure everything was organized.
